Try sweets from the most talked-about pastry chef in Paris : Cedric Grolet




Cédric Grolet is one of the most known French pastry chefs, with over 1,9 million followers on Instagram. Currently working at Le Meurice and awarded in 2017 and 2018 as the best pastry chef in the world, Cedric Grolet has opened his bakery in the Opera neighborhood in late 2019.


Mastering the art of fruit, the pastry chef revisits great classics of French bakery and pastry such as croissants and pain au chocolat with thick laminated dough, a revisited Mont-Blanc with red fruits, the Paris-Brest, Vanilla flan, chocolate cake or different flavors éclairs measuring 25 cm.

Located a few meters from the Garnier Palace, Cedric Grolet’s bakery, pastry, and tea house have a space with 30 seats on the first floor. The pastry chef boutique sells bread, pastries, chocolate, confectionery, hot and cold drinks. Cedric Grolet also serves savory bakery classics such as ham croissant, Quiche Lorraine or Croque-monsieur. The bakery has vegetarian options.


Cedric Grolet is opened Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM and has pastries available online to pick up on-site. (48 hours after the order)



Fun fact :

Napoleon the 3rd asked the Haussmann reeve to create the Avenue de l'Opéra, which was not originally part of the new urban plans. Delighted that such a beautiful perspective highlights his monument, the architect asked that no tree be planted on the edges of the avenue so that nothing disturbs the sight of passers-by! Until this day, you won’t find any trees on the avenue.
